Privacy

Short version: the numbers you type never leave your device.

The calculations

Every calculator on DebtFree Calculators runs entirely in your browser as JavaScript. Balances, rates, incomes and payments are never transmitted to us, never written to a database, and never shared with a lender, broker or lead buyer. Close the tab and they are gone.

Links you copy

Calculator inputs are stored in the page's own web address so a result can be bookmarked or shared. That means anyone you send the link to can see those numbers — which is the point, but worth knowing before you paste one into a group chat.

What is stored on your device

One item: your light/dark theme choice, kept in your browser's local storage so the site doesn't flash the wrong colors on your next visit. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Analytics and advertising

We count page views using Vercel Web Analytics, so we can see which calculators people actually use. It sets no cookies, stores no identifier on your device, and cannot follow you to another site — it records that a page was loaded, roughly where in the world from, and what kind of device. It never receives the figures you type into a calculator.

This site also reserves space for advertising to keep the calculators free. If and when ads are enabled, the ad network may set its own cookies and collect its own data under its own policy — this page will name the network and link to that policy when it does. Ad networks never receive the figures you enter into a calculator, because those figures never reach the network in the first place.

Email

If you give us an email address, it is passed straight to our newsletter provider and used to send what you asked for, nothing else. It is never sold or rented, and it is never attached to any figure you entered into a calculator — those never reach us in the first place. Every message includes a one-click unsubscribe. Our full commitments about money and data are on the how this site makes money page.

Not financial advice

These tools are educational. They model loans cleanly, and real loans are messier — fees, daily compounding, rate changes and servicer practices all move the numbers. Confirm anything that matters with your lender, and talk to a qualified professional before making a large financial decision.
